Encountering the 100-odd-year-old washi of her grandfather-in-law, who was a paper-maker in Akizuki, she began making artwork using Chikuzen Akizuki washi, which carries on this tradition.
Studied watercolour and ink painting and met and studied under Japanese painter Yoshie Tachiki in 2014.
She continues her creative work using Japanese painting materials such as sumi ink, Japanese paper, foil, shell white, mica and brush strokes to arrive at a modern, traditional expression.
